Manuela has two boxes. The larger of the two boxes has dimensions of 15cm by 25cm by 29 cm. The smaller of the two boxes is a cube with sides that are 10 cm long. If she were to put the smaller box inside the larger, what would be the remaining volume of the larger box?

    Find the volume of the large box:

    15x25x29

    375x29

    10,875cm³

    and the smaller box:

    10x10x10

    100x10

    1,000

    then subtract

    10,875-1,000=9,875cm³ remaining
