U just put together the similar variables

    (-2x^2 - 7x + 1) - (6x^2 + 2x - 9)

    (-7x + 1) - (4x^2 + 5x - 9)

    1 - (4x^2 + 5x - 9)

    4x^2 + 5x - 8
