You add them together and divide by 2 because there are 2 numbers and you will get your answer

To work out the average, you add all the terms and divide that by the number of terms there are.
64 + 63 = 127
127 : 2 = 63.5
The answer is 63.5.
However, because these are only twoconsecutive integers, you just add 0.5 to find the average. e. g: average of 2 and 3 = 2.5, average of 3 + 4 = 3.5, average of 6 + 7 = 6.5 etc ... Remember, this only works if there are only two integers and they are consecutive.
