    First factor 2x² - x - 6 to get (2x + 3) (x - 2)

Then place f (x) in the numerator and g (x) in the denominator.

    (2x + 3) (x-2)

    (x + 2) (x-2)

Cancel out (x-2) in the numerator and denominator

    Then your answer will be (2x + 3) / (x + 2)
