    Slope intercept is written as y=mx+b. So step one would be to add y to both sides of the equation and you get

    2x-y+y = 9+y ... the y's cancel out so it would be 2x = 9 + y

    Now subtract 9 from both sides of the equation and you have 2x-9=9-9+y in that 9-9 = 0 you now have 2x - 9 = y or y = 2x-9.

    2x-9 = y
