    Answer: £ 0.75

    Step-by-step explanation:

Number of pens to be bought = 30

    Shop A:

    pack of 10 = £1.90

since Eve is buying 30 pens, this means Eve will buy 3 packs of ten, that is

    3 x (£1.90) = £5.70

    Shop B:

    pack of 5 = £1.10

condition : buy 1 pack and get 1 half price.

since Eve is buying 30 pens, then Eve will buy 3 pack of 5 and get 3 half price, that is:

    3 (1.10) + 3 (0.55)

    = £3.30 + £1.65

    = £4.95

Therefore, the difference in cost for all 30 pens between the two shops will be:

    £5.70 - £4.95 = £ 0.75
