What is the solution of 1/8 (x-3) ^2=5

((x-3) ^2) / 8=5
so multiply by 8 on both sides
((x-3) ^2) = 40
Then take the square root of both sides so
√40=x-3
x = + - (2√10) + 3
Note the answer is
x = (6-√160) / 2=3-2√ 10 = - 3.325 and x = (6+√160) / 2=3+2√ 10 = 9.325
