Lea bought 225 flowers and 12 vases. She put about the same number of flowers in each vase. Which is the best estimate for the number of flowers in each vase

    This would be 225 flowers spread across 12 vases, or 225/12, this equals 18.75. Now of course, it's not reasonable to assume Lea places. 75 of a flower in each vase, so we can round it down to 18. This means that Lea should put 18 flowers in each vase.

    This answer can be found by deviding 225 by 12. The exact answer is 18.75, but obviously you can't put 3/4 of a flower in a vase. In that case, the best estimate would be 18-19 flowers, or just 19.
