He conditional relative frequency table below was generated by column from a frequency table comparing the gender of a student to what the student chose to wear on a specific day.     From the conditional relative frequency table, the categorical variables are "male" and "female".

    For there to be an association between the categorical variables, there has to be similarlity between a corresponding entry of the variables.

    From the table, G denotes the relative frequency of boys that prefer pants while H denotes the relative frequency of girls that prefer pants.

    Therefore, "The value of G is similar to the value of H" would most likely indicate an association beteen the categorical variables.
