First, distribute 20 to 1-x. The equation becomes 85+15x=75+20-20x. Next, move all the terms with variables to one side and all of the constants to the other. The equation becomes 15x+20x=75+20-85. Now combine add 15x and 20x to get 35x. Add 75 to 20 to get 95 and subtract 85 from it. The equation becomes 35x=10. Now, isolate the variable be dividing both sides of the equation by 35. The answer is 10/35 (simplified 2/7).
