Four numbers have a median of 4, a mean of 5 and a range of 9. The numbers are not integers. What could they be?

    If the numbers in order are A, B, C, D, 4 = (B+C) / 2, 5 = (A+B+C+D) / 4, D-A=9.

    B+C=8, (A+8+A+9) / 4=5, 2A+17=20, 2A=3, A=1.5, D=10.5.

    If 4-B=C-4 and B and C are not integers B could be 3.5 and C=4.5.

    The numbers could be 1.5, 3.5, 4.5, 10.5.
