What is the decimal you're working with? for instance if you had 0.25 that's a quarter of 100 so it would be 1/4

You read 0.875 as 875 thousandths so basically it sounds like 875 out of 1000.
0.875 is 875/1000
If you want it simplified, it would be 7/8
