A parachutists speed during a free fall reaches 132 feet per second. What is the speed in meters per second? At this speed, how many meters will the parachutist fall during 5 seconds of free fall? In your computations, assume that 1 meter is equal to 3.3 feet. Do not round your answers.

    (132-ft) x (1 meter/3.3-ft) = 40 meters

    132 ft/sec = 40 m/s

    Distance = (speed) x (time)

    = (40 m/s) x (5 sec) = 200 meters

    No rounding necessary for either answer.
