The probability that a flight is on timeat a large airline is 95%. if the probability that flights are on time are independent events, find the probability that 4 flights in a row are on time. (enter your answer as a decimal, round to 4 decimal places)

    Probability that a flight is on time = 95 % = 95/100 = 0.95

    Step 2:

    The number of flights to be on time in a row should be 4.

    Also the probability for each flight to be on time is 0.95

    Step 3:

    Since the probability of each flight to be on time is an independent event, therefore the probability that four flights are on time in a row will be

    p (x) = (0.95) ^4=0.8145.
