The original price of sn item is $25, but after the discount, you only have to pay $18.50. what is the discount (as a percent) ?

    The first thing that you have to do is subtract 18.5 from 25. Then you do 6.5/25 and that equals 0.26. To get a percentage you multiply that by 100. You get 26%
