The area of a parking lot is 2475 ft. The regular parking lot has dimensions such that the length is 10 ft longer than the width. What are the dimensions of the parking lot?

    A) L * W = 2,475

    B) L = W + 10

    A) L = 2,475 / W

    Substituting this into equation B)

    2,475 / W = W + 10

    2,475 = W^2 + 10W

    W^2 + 10W - 2,475 = 0

    W = 45

    Length = 55
