Joe has two empty boxes, one box is 15 inches wide, 20 inches long and 10 inches high. The second box has the same length and width but is 4 inches taller. How much additional spaces is in the box

    Space in the box = volume

    volume = length x width x height

    box 1 volume = 15 x 20 x 10 = 3000

    box 2 volume = 15 x 20 x 14 = 4200

    how much space is left = box 2 - box 1 = 1200 inches
