    The formula for surface area of a rectangular prism is A = 2 (wl + hl + hw)

    plugging in the values, you get A = 2 (12 x 3) (18 x 3) + (14 x 3) (18 x 3) + (14 x 3) (12 x 3)

    A = 2 (36) (54) + (42) (54) + (42) (36)

    A = 11,448
