I'm at a book store with $35.00 in my pocket and a 20%-off coupon. What is the cost of the most expensive book I can buy with my money and the coupon? (Assume that there are books of every possible price in the bookstore. It's a large bookstore!)

    Let x be the cost of most expensive book Then:-

    x - 0.20x = 35

    x = 35 / 0.80

    Answer is $43.75
