Mrs. Gomez paid $780 for a new backyard fence. A new gate cost and additional $225. The fencing was a total of 120 feet. What was the unit cost per foot for the fence?

    I'm not sure what the gate has to do with the problem, but you should just divide 780 by 120 to get 6.5. In other words, each foot costs $6.50.
