Mike ate one slice of pizza. Jess ate one slice. If there were initially 3 slices and all the slices are the same size, what fraction of the pizza is remaining?

    2/3 of the pizza slices are remaining.

    So since Jess ate 1

    And mike ate one that's 2/3 already eaten. So what's left over (Answer) = 1/3 of the pizza
