    Y = - 8 simply means for every x coordinate the y coordinate is - 8, therefore it creates a horizontal line at y = - 8.

    X intercepts are when y = 0. Y intercepts are when x = 0.

    In this case of the line, y = - 8 there is no x intercept because y doesn't equal 0.

    However there is a y intercept at (0,-8) because y is - 8 for every input including 0.
