So me and my friend were arguing about this earlier. Say that you bought a raffle ticket for $1 and the prize is $512. If you won the raffle, would that be a 512% increase from the one dollar you invested or a 51,200% increase, or neither of those?

This was not my question, I am the friend that knows that 1 x 5.12 equals $5.12, but I just need you people to prove him wrong because he is absolutely positively retorded.
