Based on the Venn Diagram, we have the following facts:

Total no. of mice is 1000

Work out for the total number of mice without disease:

    We have:

    736+9+7+8 = 760

Find out the total number of mice with disease:

    We have:

    1+24+194+21 = 240

We can then deduce that the number of mice who do not have the disease in gene A mutation is: 9+7 = 16

To find its percentage, divide 16 by 760. This makes up 0.02105. Multiply the result with 100 so we can find out its percentage.

    0.02105 x 100 is 2.105%

Thus, the answer should be letter B. 2.1%
