Question 12 A parachutist's rate during a free fall reaches 198 kilometers per hour. What is this rate in meters per second? At this rate, how many meters will the parachutist fall during 10 seconds of free fall? Do not round your answers.

    1) 198 km/h is equivalent to 198,000/3,600 m/s

    Speed in m/s = 198000/3600 = 55 m/s

    2) Distance = speed x time

    Distance = 55 m/s x 10 s = 550 m
