A scuba diver dives down 30 feet into the ocean. he then swims 6 feet back up towards the surface. what is the postion of the scuba diver relative to the surface.

    If the diver is originally 30 feet below the ocean level; if he returns 6 feet up towards surface

    30 ft - 6 ft = 24 ft

    He is now only 24 ft below the surface.
