To factor 16x^2-18, recognize that this could be regarded as the difference of two squares: 16x^2-18 = (4x) ^2 - (√18) ^2.

    Follow this pattern for the difference of two squares: a^2 - b^2 = (a - b) (a + b)

    Thus, (4x) ^2 - (√18) ^2 = (4x + √18) (4x - √18)

Note that √18 can be reduced to 3√2.

    Therefore, the factors in simplest form are (4x + 3√2) and (4x - 3√2).
