In a certain Algebra 2 class of 24 students, 8 of them play basketball and 15 of them play baseball. There are 7 students who play neither sport. What is the probability that a student chosen randomly from the class plays both basketball and baseball?

    Using the rules of probability:

    P (A∩B) = P (A) + P (B) - P (A∪B) = 8/24 + 15/24 - 17/24 = 6/24 which reduces to 1/4 Play both.
