    24 x 3 = 72

    9 x 3 = 27

    72-27 = 45

Mr. Sato needs to give out 45 more magnets

3 more magnets because in total there will be only 12 pairs since 24 is divided by 2. So 9 times 3 is 27 and 36 magnets - 27 magnets is 3. So he has 3 more to give
