    change to improper fractions first

    6/8 + 6/24

    make so there is a common denominator

    6/8 * 3/3 = 18/24

    now add

    18/24 + 6/24 = 24/24 = 1

    First, find the common denominator.

    3/8 and 3/4 - -> the both have 16.

    3/4 X 4/4 and 3/8 X 2/2 - > 12/16 & 6/16

    Now, we are going to add.

    2 12/16 + 3 6/16 = 6 2/16

    You carrying the one since you got 18/16.
