The humpback whales traveled 2240 miles in 28 days.

the gray whales traveled 2368 miles in 32 days

if the humpback whales had traveled at the same rate for 32 days, how many more miles would they have traveled than the gray whales?

    2,240 divided by 28 = 80. 80 times 32 = 2,560. 2,560+2,240=4800. Figure out the rest alone xD

    Humpback whales spped is 2240/28 miles/days = 80 miles/day

    Gray whales speed is 2368/32 miles/days = 74 miles/day

    so humpback speed for 32 days = 80*32 = 2560miles/day
