an elevator ascends, or goes up at rate of 750 feet per minute. Is the height to which the elevator ascends proportional to the number of minutes it takes to get there? 2 minutes

    Yes.

    The relation is h = 750t where h = height in feet and t = time in minutes.

    At 2 minutes the elevator has climbed 750 * 2 = 1,500 feet.
