If the radius of a sphere is increased by 5 cm so that the area of the sphere obtained is increased by 400pi square cm. What was the radius before the increase

    The answer is 314cm²

    the formula for the sphere area of a sphere is:

    A = 4TT²

    A = 4x3.14x5²

    first solve for exponents

    A = 4x 3.14x25

    then multiply

    A = 314cm²
