3 (2x - 5) - 8x = - 2 (x - 1)
Use the distributive property:
6x-15 - 8x = - 2x + 2
Combine like terms:
-2x - 15 = - 2x + 2
Since both sides have - 2x, but the other numbers are not the same, this equation does not have a solution.
