    Width = x

    length = x + 5

    x (x + 5) = 50

    x^2 + 5x = 50

    x^2 + 5x - 50 = 0

    (x + 10) (x - 5) = 0

    x = 5 or - 10 (Rejected, length cannot be negative)

    x = 5

    x + 5 = 5 + 5 = 10

    Therefore the width is 5 feet and the length is 10 feet
