    3√ (x^2-6) = 3√ (2x+2) square both sides

    9 (x^2-6) = 9 (2x+2)

    x^2-6=2x+2

    x^2-2x-8=0 then solve the resulting quadratic equation.

    x^2-4x+2x-8=0

    x (x-4) + 2 (x-8) = 0

    (x+2) (x-8) = 0

    x=-2, 8
