What is 4 feet, 1 inch minus 2 feet, 11 inches?

    I think the easiest way to approach this is to first convert them into inches. There are 12 inches in 1 foot, so the first value will be 49 inches and the second value is 35 inches. Subtract 49-35 which is 14 inches. Convert back to feet and you will get 1 foot 2 inches.
