3/2 on a number line will go halfway between 1 and 2, since 3/2 is equivalent to 1 1/2. If the number line goes by halves, like 0, 1/2, 1, 1 1/2, 2, etc, then you just put 1 1/2 where it goes. You can also put it as an equivalent fraction, such as 1 2/4.
