In this question, you are given the car gas rate (35 miles / gallon) and the distance travelled by the car (700miles). Then to find the gallon of gas needed would be:

distance = rate * amount of gas

    700 miles = 35miles/gallon * amount of gas

    amount of gas = 700 miles / (35miles/gallon) = 20 gallon
