    First substitute x for - 4

    F (x) = 2[5 (-4) + 7]-1

    Simplify

    F (x) = 2[-20+7]-1

    Distribute

    F (x) = - 40+14-1

    Add - 40 and 14

    F (x) = - 26-1

    F (x) = - 27
