The answer is 1.6 because. the 5 is our first decimal. which is the one we want to round up. if the number before the 5 which in this case is 7, is larger than 5 then our 5 will become a 6 (it doesn't matter that were rounding up a 5 it could have been any other number) if the number before 5 was say a 2 then the answer would be 1.5 because the number before it is below 5
