    Assume that

    y = ounces of meat

    x = number of sandwich

    So, the equation for how much meat he need for his sandwiches is

    y = 3x

    Part B.

    We just need to substitute 18 to the equation (Replace y with 18)

    y = 3x

    18 = 3x

    x = 6

    From 18 ounces of meat, Isaac could make 6 sandwiches
