3. ms. Johnson placed two different orders with TR's special item store. each order was for 40 jars with the circus logo imprinted on each jar. store employees Jorge and SAM packed the jars into different boxes. Jorge packed the first 40 jars snugly into a rectangular box in rows of 4 jars each. the jars were not stacked on top of each other because in bot cases the jars were the same height as the boxes. the jars have a height of 6 inches and a diameter of 3 inches.

(a) What are the dimensions of each box in inches? show your work.

(b) Jorge and SAM bought packing foam to fill in the space between the jars and the box so that the jars will not move around. the packing foam comes in packets of 200 in^3. how many packets did each boy buy and how much packing foam did each boy need? use 3.14 for pi. round to the nearest hundredth if necessary explain your reasoning

    1. The height is 6 inches ad the width (diameter) is 3 inches!

    2. So the jars are Volume ≈ 42.41 inches so each boy needs 200 / 42.41 which equals approximately 4.72 inches per jar. So if wach boys have half the amount of jars which is 20 you multiply 20 by 4.72 which is 94.4 inches for each boy!
