Dr. Fritz, a cat and dog veterinarian, examined 40% cats this week at his clinic. If Dr. Fritz examined 22 cats, how many cats and dogs did he examine altogether

    What you do is take 22 cats and figure out which number 22 is 40% of. You would do 22/.04 and the answer would be 55, so he examined 55 dogs and cats all together
