Jethro is planting flowers in his garden. He wants the ratio of tulips to roses to be 3 to 2. Jethro wants to plant a total of 50 flowers.

How many tulips should he plant?

    ratio of tulips to roses: 3 to 2.

    total of 5 flowers.

    50 flowers

    Tulips ratio to total flowers is 3 to 5

    50 * 3/5 = 150/5 = 30

    Roses ratio to total flowers is 2 to 5

    50 * 2/5 = 100/5 = 20

    Tulips to roses ratio on 50 flowers : 30 to 20.
