What is the area of a quadrilateral with vertices of (2,-4) (4,-4) (2,1) and (4,1)

    if you draw it out, it is a vertical rectangle

    height of rectangle = 1 - (-4) = 5units

    length of rectangle = 4-2 = 2units

    area of rectangle = 2*5 = 10units^2
