A farmer sells some vegetables for $57. The spinach was worth 1/2 as much as the peas and 3 times as much as the lettuce. How did he get for the lettuce?

    57=p +.5p + 3p

    57=3.5p

    $16.28=peas

    if lettuce is 3 times as much as peas, the lettuce cost $48.84
