What property would you use first to solve 1/2x-6=10? Explain

    This is an opinionated question because not everybody will solve this the same way.

    what I would do first would be the addition property of equality.

    1/2x - 6 = 10 ... add 6 to both sides

    1/2x = 10 + 6

    1/2x = 16 ...
