47% of the company's monthly income is used to pay the owner's personal salary. If the amount of the owner's salary is $2176.10, what is the company's total monthly income.

    You have to set up a ratio between the owner's income and the total income so

    47 = 2176.10

    53 x

    then cross multiply to slove for x

    47x = 115333.30

    then divide each side by 47

    x = 2453.90

    the company makes $ 2453.90
