A new website was reviewed by 58 people. The creator of the website surveyed 8 of the reviewers at random. He asked them to rate the website on a scale from 1 to 10. Their ratings are below.

Assuming that the sample was representative of all reviewers, what was the mean rating of the website for all reviewers?

    Add up the data values: 4+7+9+5+4+9+9+5 = 52

    Divide that sum by 8 (which is the sample size) to get 52/8 = 6.5
